Dua to seek freedom from the crookedness of the heart after receiving guidance

PRONUNCIATION: Rabbana-la-tuzigh kulubana-ba’da ez hadaitana-wa hablana-mil ladunka rahmah, innaka antal wahha-b

Meaning: O our Lord, do not make our hearts crooked after You have given guidance and grant us mercy from You. (Surah Al-Imran: Verse 8)

Many go back to their previous appearance even after receiving guidance. Some less, some more. They must recite this dua regularly.

A very small but very important dua

“Allahumma inni as alukal-‘a-fiyyah”

Al-Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), uncle of the Prophet (may peace be upon him), came to the Prophet (may peace be upon him) and asked —
“O Messenger of Allah, teach me a dua,” said the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) – “O my uncle, say:
Allahumma Inni As Alukal-‘a-Fiaz”

O Allah, I seek from You ‘Afiyyah” What is Afiyyah? When we seek ayyyah from Almighty Allah it means — a dua for relief from any affliction.

Dua for attaining good health

Afiyyah means “O Allah, save me from all sorrow, grief and suffering.”

Al-Abbas (radi Allahu anhu) thought for a while and returned after a few days and said —

“O Messenger of Allah, such a small dua, teach me something great.”
Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said – “O my beloved uncle, seek health from Allah, by Allah, nothing better will be given to you than this.”

It is a very short dua, through which we mean what we mean

“Oh! Allah, I seek relief from grief, sorrow, pain, loss; do not test me”

We seek all such things from Rabb Kareem saying: “Allahumma inni as’alukal ‘Afiyyah” (Riaddus Swaleheen, Sunan At-Tirmidhi) (At-Tirmidhi, Vol: 06, Chapter: 45, Dua Chapter, Hadith No: 3514)

(Rabbana- Jalamna- Anfusana- Wa Illam Tagfirlana- Wa Tarhamna- Lana Ku-Nanna Minal Khasiri-N)

O our Lord, we have wronged ourselves. If You do not forgive us and have mercy on us, we will surely perish.
(Surah Araf: 23)

(Rabbana-Afrig ‘Alaina Sabrao wa Tawaffana Muslimi-n)
O our Lord, open for us the door of patience and grant us death as Muslims – (Surah Araf: 126)

O our Lord, if we forget or make a mistake, do not make us guilty
(Surah Baqarah: 286)

Rabbana wala tahmil ‘alaina isran kama- hamaltahu ‘alallahina min qabalina.

O our Lord! And do not assign to us a responsibility as you assigned to those before us. (Surah Baqarah: 286)

O our Lord! And do not bear by us that burden which we do not have the strength to bear. Forgive us our sins. Forgive us and have mercy on us. You are our Lord. So help us against the infidels. (Surah Baqarah: 286)

Dua for a beautiful death

Pronunciation: Allahumma Inni Asaluka Husnaal Kh-Timah

Meaning: O Allah! I wish you a good death.

Prayers for living or dead parents

Pronunciation: RABBI HAMHUMA-KAMA-RABBAIYA-NI SAGI-RA-

Meaning: O my Lord, have mercy on them as they brought me up in childhood (Surah Al-Isra – verse 24).

How to make dua to get anything?

So to get help from Allah, there is no other option but to make dua in the language taught by Him. Allah Ta’ala has also announced that He will accept the prayers of His servants. It is mentioned in the Quran-

‘Then I responded to his (Prophet Yunus’s) call and freed him from anxiety. This is how I liberate the people of the world. (Surah Ambiya: Verse 88)

And the direction of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam is also like this. He declares the acceptance of Dua Yunus in the hadith Pak- –

Saad Ibn Abi Waqqas Radiyallahu Anhu narrates, Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said, the supplication of Allah’s Prophet Jun-Nun (Yunus Alaihis Salam) while he was in the belly of a fish;

That is – ‘There is no god but You, You are most holy. Surely I belong to the group of the wrongdoers’ (Surah Ambia: verse 87) If any Muslim person ever makes this supplication in any matter, Allah Ta’ala will certainly accept his supplication. ’ (Tirmidhi, Taliqur Ragib, Mishkat)

Known dua to get direct help from Allah

Pronunciation: ‘La ilaha illa angta subhanaka inni kungtu minaj jjalimin. ‘
Meaning: ‘O Allah! There is no god but You (to Whom mercy, forgiveness and help can be sought). You are holy. I am the wrongdoer, I am the sinner. ‘

So if you recite this prayer asking for the help of Yunus Alaihis Salam in extreme danger, Almighty Allah will accept the prayer of that servant. Because Almighty Allah has announced in the Qur’an to accept his prayers as well as to accept the prayers of believers.

This prayer is widely known as ‘Dawa Yunus’. If a believer recites this dua to Allah in any problem, Allah will accept his prayer. And the Prophet has also given assurance in the hadith that prayers will be accepted.

Therefore, the believing Muslim should read more and more the mentioned dua in his language to get direct help from Almighty Allah. Getting help from Almighty Allah.
