We are often busy with various activities and cannot perform Maghrib prayers on time. As a result, I got closer to Isha’s prayer. Many people ask this question – can i pray maghrib 10 minutes before isha?
First of all, as a Muslim, I must remember that I must perform the Maghrib prayer at the correct time in the congregation. In this way, this woman also has to pray Maghrib at the right time.
If due to some reason, I can’t pray Maghrib on time then it is better to let me know if it is possible to pray 10 minutes before Isha or not. But you can’t make it a daily rule.
When to pray Maghrib?
Maghrib prayer should be performed after sunset. There is no disagreement about this. No one disagrees that the time of Maghrib remains valid until Shafaq disappears. When Shafaq disappears, the time of Maghrib ends and the time of Isha begins. And all this is proved by Sahih Hadith.
But there is disagreement about what Shafaq is called. Some say Shafaq means the redness of the sun. Some say Shafaq means white line; The line that appears at the edge of the sky after the sun’s redness disappears. After this white line disappears, the edge of the sky becomes black and the edge of the sky is no longer visible. The edge of the sky then disappeared from view.
Can I pray maghrib 10 minutes before Isha?
Yes, I can pray maghrib 10 minutes before Isha. However, it is better and obligatory to perform the Maghrib prayer immediately after the call to prayer. Because the Maghrib prayer time is a little less. But it is before the beginning of Isha’s time. So it is better to study as early as possible before Maghrib prayer time. That is, the Maghrib prayer time begins as soon as the sun sets.
So read as soon as possible – pray. The faster you read it, the more rewards you will get.
If there is a special need to delay – what is the time and time of Isha prayer in your place; Check it out.
Maghrib prayer is often rushed. It is seen that I am finishing some work or starting to study – it is too late to do it. Then some say that the Maghrib prayer is of short duration. So now there is no time. So it is important to know that Maghrib prayer time is till Isha.
Hadith about praying maghrib 10 minutes before Isha
Some false and false hadiths have also been narrated about the time of Maghrib prayer. Then in presenting examples in favor of this claim, he brought four hadiths and about the four hadiths he discussed the value of the hadiths under the heading ‘Tahqiq’. I am quoting the author’s writings exactly for your convenience. Giving examples, the author writes, viz.
اوَّلُ وَقْتِ الْمَغْرِبِ حِيْنَ تَغْرِبُ الشَّمسُ وَاخِرُهُ حِيْنَ يَغِيْبُ الشَّفَقُ
The Prophet (PBUH) said the first time of Maghrib is when the sun sets. And the last time when Shafaqab drowned.
Tahquiq: The description is fake. Ibn Hajar Asqbalani said, “I did not find such a narration.” Allama Jaila’i said, “It is poor.” That is baseless.
It was narrated from the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) that the last time of Maghrib is when the black line will be seen.
Tahquiq: The description is fake. Ibn Hajar Askalani said, “I did not find such a description.
Ibn Umar RA said, Shafaq is, Lalima. Salat becomes wajib when the redness disappears.
Tahqiq: The description is Jaif. It has a flawed rabbi named Atiq ibn Ya’qub in its script. Moreover, the description applies to the Isha prayer and not to Maghrib.
There is no time for Maghrib after the redness disappears. But the descriptions claim.
عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُوْلُ الله صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلًًمَ الشّفَقُ الْحُمْرَةُ
On the authority of Ibn Umar, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, Shafaaq is Lalima (Tahqiq: the description is weak).
Last word
My point is that since Shafaq can mean both red and white lines, and since there is disagreement as to which meaning is intended, caution is warranted, that the Maghrib prayer should be performed before the dip of the red. The Isha prayer should be performed after the white line disappears after the redness.
Hazrat Abu Huraira RA. And according to Omar Ibn Abdul Aziz, Shafaq is a white line. This is also the opinion of Imam Awazai and Imam Abu Hanifa. According to others, Shafaq is Lalima. However, in Sahih Hadith, the disappearance of Shafaq is described as a sign of the end of Maghrib.
All those who took Shafaq to mean red, and those who took white lines, meant the same thing. Also to express when the time of Maghrib ends. But all of them believe that it is mustamahab to perform the Maghrib prayer immediately after sunset.
As Sahih Hadith informs us. In our country, the followers of the Hanafi Madhhab observe Maghrib immediately after sunset. So the Maghrib prayer is also performed in this country according to the Sahih Hadith.
Their Maghrib prayer did not fall under the control of fake or false hadith. Ask our featured author, what would he say, and then why he chose that odd name for his book.
FAQs
How long is Maghrib prayer time?
The duration of Maghrib prayer is about 1 hour 5 to 10 minutes. It varies in different regions. This does not mean that you will pray late. The Sunnah and acceptable time for performing Maghrib prayer is to perform Maghrib prayer without any delay after sunset.
Evening Tasbeeh-Askar should be recited before sunset. But if for some reason you cannot read earlier, then you can read after sunset. It is not associated with Maghrib.
What is the misconception about Maghrib prayer time?
As long as the condition of the sky is mixed with red and white, it is Maghrib time. The time of Maghrib is about one and a half hours to one and a half hours. Many people think that Maghrib’s time is 15-20 minutes. That’s why if you can’t read Maghrib within this period, don’t read it again. I think I’ll read it later when it’s done.
However, even if you pray within one hour to one and a half hours, it will be done. According to some imams, Maghrib time ends and Isha time begins as soon as red ends and white begins. (There is no fatwa on this opinion in the Hanafi Madhhab. So Isha should not be recited at that time unless it is necessary.) [Al Bahrur Rayeeq: 1/425-26]
When is the best time for Maghrib?
It is better to read it as soon as it is time for Maghrib prayer. But it is said to read a little late in the month of Ramadan. So that iftar can be taken earlier. Because if you break the fast earlier, it is possible to pray with Khushu-Khujur (concentration). (Al Bahroor Rayeq: 1/431)
