Whatever allah has destined for you? Explanations from Quran and Hadith

Shah Muhammad Suhail

Whatever allah has destined for you?

Whatever Allah has destined for you. The answer is that good and bad, joy and sorrow, livelihood and wealth, life and death, etc., all aspects of a person’s life, big or small, are determined by Allah. Fate is a mysterious world of God. Allah did not inform anyone about this world.

The commentators say that Taqdeer is one of those things about which Allah says, ‘It is not that Allah informs you of the unseen; But Allah chooses whom He wills among His Messengers.

Whatever Allah has destined for you | What does the Quran say?

Taqdeer in the description of the Qur’an: About Taqdeer, people know as much as Allah has told through the Qur’an and His Prophet. The following is the Qur’anic description of Taqdeer:

  1. Destined by Allah: Good and bad fate of people is determined by Allah. Allah says, ‘I have created everything in measure, My command is complete in a word, like the twinkling of an eye. (Surah: Kamar, Verses: 49-50)
  2. The Inevitability of Taqdeer: What Allah has ordained for man must be fulfilled. It has been said, ‘Allah will fulfill His will; Allah has fixed certain measures for everything.’ (Sura: Talaq, verse: 3)
  3. Taqdeer Predestined: Allah has predestined what happens in human destiny. It has been said, ‘Whatever calamity befalls you in the world or personally is recorded before I cause it.
It is very easy for Allah.’ (Sura: Hadid, verse: 22)
  4. Fate brings moderation in life: Fate moderates people’s lives. Allah says, ‘It (predestination) is so that you do not grieve over what you have lost and rejoice over what He has given you. Allah does not like the arrogant and arrogant.’ (Surah: Hadid, verse: 23)
  5. Everything happens according to Taqdeer: Everything happens according to God’s will and plan. And Allah has predestined it. Allah says, ‘He knows all that is in the water and the land, and not a leaf falls without His knowledge. In the darkness of the soil (the dark subterranean layer) no grain sprouts, nor is there anything juicy or dry that is not in the clear book.’ (Surah: An’am, verse: 59)

What Allah has decreed for you? Hadith and explanation

Belief in Taqdeer of the Believer: Abu Abdullah Ibn Daylami (RA) said, I came to Ubai Bin Ka’b (RA) and said to him, I have a doubt about Taqdeer. So tell me something so that Almighty Allah will remove the dilemma in my mind.

He said, Almighty Allah can punish all the people of his heaven and earth. Yet he will not be unjust to them. On the other hand, if He showed mercy to all of them, His mercy would be better for them than their good deeds.

So if you give gold as much as Mount Uhud in the way of Allah and do not believe in destiny, it will not be accepted until you believe in destiny again and realize that what happened to you was not to be forgotten. And what was avoided was never to be forgotten in your case. And if you die without this faith, you will go to hell. (Sunan Abi Dawud, Hadith: 4699)

The believer is satisfied with fate: The believer is satisfied with the good and bad of fate. Even if he is touched on something he does not like, he does not question it. Because Allah’s command is, ‘He (Allah) cannot be questioned about what He does, but they will be questioned.’ (Surah Ambiya, verse 23)

Opinions of scholars

Imam Tahabi Rahimahullah said,

Everything is governed by his determination and will. It is His will that works, without His will no desire of the servant is fulfilled. Therefore, what He wills for His servants, and what He does not will, does not happen.

Explanation

Whatever Allah has destined for you, everything. All that has happened and will happen from your birth to your death.

Allah says:

وَمَا تَشَاءُونَ إِلَّا أَنْ يَشَاءَ اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ

“You cannot do anything other than the will of Allah Rabbul Alamin”.

Allah Ta’ala says in verse 111 of Surah An’am:

“If We had sent down to them angels, and the dead had spoken to them, and had presented to them all the things of the world together, they would not have believed.” But if it is Allah’s will, then it is different. But most people are ignorant. Allah says in the next verse:

وَكَذلِكَ جَعَلْنَا لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ عَدُوًّا شَيَاطِينَ الْإِنِّ يُوحِي بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَىٰ بَعْضٍ زُخْرُفَ الْقَولِ غُرُرًا وَلْ شَاءَ رَ بُّكَ مَا فَعَلُوهُ فَذَرْهُمْ وَمَا يَفْتَرُونَ

“And thus I made the human devils and the jinn devils the enemies of every prophet, they used to deceive and deceive each other with astonishing words. If your Lord had willed, they could never have done that. So leave them to their condition, let them continue to invent lies” (Surah An’am 112). Allah Ta’ala says in verse 99 of Surah Yunus)
